Established in 1986 as the Indian Society for Biocontrol Advancement (ISBA) at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, and later functioning as SBA from 1996 at NBAIR, Bengaluru, the society has been at the forefront of advancing sustainable pest, pathogen, and weed management in India.
